Mookaite Jasper is very unique and beautiful stone known only from its source, Mooka Creek, Western Australia. It consist of mainly a variety of Chalcedony. At its origin it vary from Chert, Opalite, Chalcedony and white Radiolarite clay. The name "mookaite" is derived from Mooka Creek, the locality where this material comes from. Mooka is the local aboriginal word for running waters. This multi-coloured stone ranges in colour from yellow, mustard, brown, red, pink, purple, black, grey and white.
