Sedum corynephyllum Crested
 
Origin: Mexico
 
Known as the Toliman Stonecrop, it is a beautiful and easy growing variety.
Lovely crested form with bright to yellowish-green leaves. This crest forms small compact shrublets and its colour contrasts beautifully against the greys and reds of the others.
 
Plant size: Well established plants, grown in 7 cm pots are offered. The photos of the plant is of the plants that are for sale.
 
About Sedum
 
Sedum, or also known as the Stonecrops, is a large genus of about 500 species of mainly groundcover to shrubby, leaf-succulents. The species are mostly found in the northern hemisphere (Europe, Mediterranean, Asia and North America), but also extending to Africa, Mexico and South America. The species from the northern hemisphere is usually softer and small leaved succulents whereas the species from Mexico are generally thicker leaved plants, some often resemble Echeveria and Pachyphytum and others grow into rather tall shrubs.

Caring for your Sedum
 
Pot: Sedum varieties does well in containers or planted in the garden.
 
Soil: The plants are very willing and can adapt to most soils, a well-drained growing medium with organic matter works best.
 
Light: The brighter the light the more colourful and compact your plant will be. Most Stonecrops can tolerate some shade.
 
Water: Sedum can be drought tolerant when well established, but they will grow their best with weekly watering or every second week, depending on your conditions and the species. The finer species requires more water whereas the more succulent species requires less.
