A beautiful light blue, accicular crystal specimen of this rare copper mineral from the DRC. We once managed to get hold of a small batch, this is one of the last few specimens.

 

Shattuckite is a rare secondary Copper silicate mineral. It was named after the mine where it was first discovered, the Shattuck Mine, Arizona, USA.

 

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), previously known as Zaire, is a large central African country known to produce some of the most amazing Copper, Uranium and Cobalt minerals, to mention only a few.
