Gastroloba 'Spiral'
One of our own unique hybrids. It is a rare intergeneric hybrid between Astroloba bullulata x Gasteria batesiana. It’s a beautiful, but slow growing plant and I am happy to finally have some duplicates.
Plant Size: Offered is a well-established propagation, grown in a 7 cm pot. The first photo is of the plant that is for sale, the second photo is of the mother plant grown in bright light..

Caring for your Gastroloba
- Pot: Gastroloba is best suited to cultivation in containers. Some species are also well suited to a protected spot in the rockery in frost free and lower winter rainfall areas
- Soil: The plants prefer a well-drained soil, a mixture of sandy soil with some organic matter.
- Light: The brighter the light the more colourful and compact your plant will be. However Gastroloba can also tolerate slightly shaded positions.
- Water: Let your plants soil dry out for a few days between watering. Rather underwater than over-water to avoid root-loss.
