Caring for your Ornithogalum

  • Pot: This species is best suited to pot culture. A smaller pot is ideal.

  • Soil: The plants prefer a well-drained sandy soil with some organic matter.

  • Light: The plants prefer to grow in bright light conditions and can tollerate full sun. They will grow in shadier conditions, however the leaves will grow longer and will not have distinct compact growth.

  • Water: Even though most species are drought hardy, they do enjoy regular watering (weekly or every second week).
