A beautiful specimen of these unique red Quartz crystals from the Orange River. These crystals are milky in colour, which has been naturally coated with iron oxides, turning them into very showy red crystals. Good quality specimens like these are becoming increasingly rarer.
 
The Orange River, bordering South Africa and Namibia, is a desert region that is world-renowned for its exceptional quartz specimens often associated with hematite and often with red coatings or phantoms.
