Very unique new find from the Shuikoushan ore field in China. Lovely well formed dogtooth Calcites with some Malachite on the surface and Pyrite inclusions. The name Christmas tree Calcite was dubbed when they were introduced at the end of 2025.
 
Calcite is a carbonate mineral and a polymorph of Aragonite. It is extremely variable in colour, ranging from clear, white, yellow, orange, blue, pink, red, brown, green, black and grey.
