An outstanding cabinet specimen of this rare new beautiful Fluorite that is a relatively recent find from Madagascar.
 
The large crystal structure is cubic and the colour varies from a rich emerald-green to multi-coloured green/blue to a darker marine-blue, some pieces may also have milky (white) inclusions. This unique Fluorite is also fluorescent and displays a beautiful blue colour under UV light.
 
Truly amazing Fluorite with the ability to change colour, green and having hues of blue in more sunlight, a rare property called dichroism. Dichroism is the optical property of a material to split up the visible light into distinct beams of different wavelengths (colours) or absorbing one of two plane-polarized components of transmitted light more strongly than the other.
