Echeveria 'Crispate Beauty'
A real stunner, this relatively new cultivar is said to be a leaf mutation of Echeveria lilacina. This beautiful plant forms compact, rounded rosettes with leaves, heavily undulated along the margings. The plants are white in colour due to a dense covering of powdery bloom. A plant deffinately worth growing, it is best kept out of the rain.
Plant size: The plant that is for sale is in the product photo, grown in a 7 cm pot. The second photo is of an older plant.
About Echeveria
Echeveria is a large genus of easy-growing, leaf-succulent plants, ranging from small compact and tiny plants to larger species with a stemmed or even shrubby habit. There is an array of leaf colour, shapes and sizes making them very attractive container and garden plants. It is a widespread genus, but is mainly found in Mexico (also found in Central America and South America).
Caring for your Echeveria
- Pot: Echeveria does very well in containers or in the garden or rockery. They do well and look good planted in containers mixed with other succulent plants.
- Soil: The plants are very willing and can adapt to most soils, a well-drained growing medium with some organic matter works best.
- Light: The brighter the light the more colourful your plant will be. Although Echeveria will grow indoors, they prefer bright light conditions and should be keft close to a bright window.
- Water: Echeveria are drought hardy plants when well established, but they will grow their best with weekly watering, depending on your growing conditions.
