Size: 58 mm x 59 mm
An unusual Quartz specimen, a crystal cluster, with two generations of growth. Clear Quartz formed on top of the older reddish Hematoid Quartz. There are several inclusions of an unidentified white mineral.
A beautiful and interesting specimen, that displays well on the stand included.
The Orange River, bordering South Africa and Namibia, is a desert region that is world-renowned for its exceptional quartz specimens often associated with hematite and often with red coatings or phantoms.
