A very showy Quartz vug in Chrysocolla and Gem Silica specimen, from the well-known Kunene region in northern Namibia. This area, including the Kaokoveld Plateau, has delivered some eceptionally beautiful Copper-ore specimens, mainly from small privately owned diggings.
 
Chrysocolla normally has a light blue to cyan (blue-green) color and is a minor ore of copper. It is secondary mineral that forms in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies.
