Not seen very often, this high quality Golden Mica originates from Brazil.
 
Mica is the term for a group of sheet silicate minerals. Commonly found in its silvery form. In South Africa it is known as "Bobbejaanspieel", which translates to Baboon Mirror in English. A very attractive group of minerals, the material is made up of fine sheets stacked together, giving it a book appearance and is shine and reflective from the side.
 
Brazil is one of the best sources for outstanding Mica specimens. Also known for some outstanding Lepidolite (Purple) and Fuchsite (Green) Mica.
